AI Notes ("the App") is developed by SoBi ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.
Summary
**AI Notes processes everything on your device. No personal data, audio recordings, transcripts, or notes are ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.** All AI features run locally via Apple's on-device FoundationModels framework.

1. Data We Access
1.1 Microphone & Audio
- The App records audio when you explicitly start a recording.
- Audio files are stored **only on your device** (and optionally in your personal iCloud account — see §3).
- Audio is never transmitted to any server.
1.2 Transcripts & Notes
- Transcriptions are generated **on-device** using Apple's Speech Recognition framework with `requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true`.
- All note content you create stays on your device and your iCloud account.
- Note content is never sent to our servers or any third-party AI service.
1.3 Contacts (Optional)
- Accessed only when you explicitly choose to link a person to a note.
- Contact data is read on-demand and is never stored outside of the note you attach it to.
- Contact data is never transmitted off your device.
1.4 Photos & Camera (Optional)
- Photos are accessed only when you explicitly attach an image to a note.
- Camera is used only when you choose to scan a document.
- Images are stored on-device within your note. They are never uploaded to our servers.
1.5 Health Data (Optional)
- If you grant HealthKit access, the App may read sleep duration and heart rate variability to provide optional wellness context alongside your notes.
- Health data is processed entirely on-device.
- Health data is never transmitted off your device, stored in your notes, or shared with any party.
1.6 App Usage & Preferences
- App settings and preferences are stored locally using Apple's `UserDefaults` and `SwiftData` frameworks.
- No analytics, crash reporting SDKs, or usage-tracking libraries are included in the App.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect **any** data on our servers.
- We do not use **advertising identifiers** (IDFA) or engage in cross-app tracking.
- We do not use **third-party analytics** (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude).
- We do not use **third-party AI APIs** (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI). All AI runs on-device via Apple FoundationModels.
- We do not maintain **user accounts** or store any information that identifies you.

3. iCloud Sync
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your notes and recordings may sync across your Apple devices via **Apple's iCloud / CloudKit** service. This sync:
- Is entirely managed by Apple under their [iCloud Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
- Is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple.
- Can be disabled at any time in **iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → AI Notes**.
We have no access to your iCloud data.

4. Data Retention & Deletion
- All your data (notes, recordings, transcripts) resides on your device and optionally in your iCloud account.
- Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored data.
- To remove iCloud data, delete it from within the App before uninstalling, or manage it via **iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage**.

5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Third-Party Frameworks
The App uses the following Apple-provided frameworks that may access device capabilities:
